After a sequence of hacking efforts on banking sector that led to defacing of Habib bank and Soneri Bank’s websites lately, Allied Bank Ltd’s website was hacked today as well, thehackerspost reports.
Although, its main page was not defaced but the hacker ‘Xploiter’ (name of the hacker) added a page x.html on their server.
On the defaced page that the hackers added on ABL’s server, the group writes,
You Must Have Heard About Us on News , Headlines , Governament charges , Blogs , online news media , etc etc.
Hackers warned the ABL security people and reminded them of HBL and Soneri bank hacking episode few days back. According to them, it was necessary to hack and deface ABL so they could realize how weak they were on internet.
Hackers also challenged the security gurus at ABL and told them to avoid any loss to their client’s financial data. They said, they have their own way of intimating banks about their security weakness and this is how they work by defacing websites so you could realize the need to fix it.
Following is the complete message they put on defaced page
