We all know that valve have been Tinkering with The idea of releasing Its own hardware and now after many years of struggle Valve has announced the Steam Box.
There will be actually many Variants of The “Streaming Gaming Machines” with different manufactures. According to the announcement Valve is working with “Multiple Partners” to Make “a variety of steam gaming machines”. They all will be running steam OS and are expecting to start retail in 2014.
In order to decide how to best optimise this in development series of hardware, Valve will be shipping “a High performance prototype” 300 Lucky users to Beta test later in this year that’s Great actually.
The Company says “The specific machine we are testing is designed for users who want the most control possible over their Hardware. Other Boxes will Optimize for price quietness size n other factors”.
The company then said there will be ultimately be several boxes to choose from with any specifications, price n performance.
SteamOS will be available to All, Valve noted that Tech-Savy users are welcome to make their own”Steam Box” Hack which is the existing one run another operating system on it.
