This was noticed today when police officers raided a place in Green Town Lahore where they discovered Al-Qaeda terrorists using high tech communication equipment along with dozens of PTCL devices such as VPTCL sets, landline phones, EVO devices, mobile phones and dozens of unregistered SIMs.

According guidelines designed by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) no service can be activated unless the service provider confirms the credentials of the customers through CNIC.
As per reviews, 4 men and 2 women have been caught in this operation.

Question occurs that what occurred to the drive which PTA and interior ministry had started few years ago to document the entire sector. The issue was increased when pre-active SIMs of Mobilink were discovered on stores in Sargodha and other places.

A source at company verified that PTCL being the biggest player provides maximum information speed on copper as well as wi-fi devices. Any VOIP devices can be linked with these connections for making national and international calling which are nearly difficult to monitor.

Despite initiatives, a PTCL representative was not available to opinion on the situation.
