Misbah-ul-Haq’s 14 half-centuries in a calender year, broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar and Gary Christian. Before that Sachin Taendulkar 13 half centuries in 2007.

Besides that Misbah-ul-Haq has become the leading run scorer in ODI cricket in a calender year 2013. He made his 14th half century on 21-12-13 against Srilanka in Sharjah cricket stadium.
