YouTube is a video-sharing website, created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005 and owned by Google since late 2006, on which users can upload, view and share videos.
YouTube has been banned in Pakistan and it has been lasted for 15 months.Now YouTube is estimated to be reopened after 3G auction in March this year.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and government are trying to handle the issue as soon as possible.Currently the regulator is damn busy with the formation of Information Memorandum (IM) in collaboration with Value partners, consultants for the auction.
A Committee has been created by Minister for Information and technology, Anusha Rahman, which is headed by Chairman PTA, Dr. Ismail Shah. Member legal and Member IT of PTA are the other members of the committee which is given the task of sorting out the framework following which reopening of largest video portal can be made possible.
