Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was one of the greatest leaders of the modern age, who not only led his people to independence but founded a separate homeland for them, where they could live in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran and traditions of Islam. This was a far greater achievement of the Quaid-e-Azam than any other national liberation leader. Other leaders struggled for independence within states already in existence. This he achieved almost single-handedly and constitutionally, and in the teeth of stiff opposition.
Pakistan being a large majority of youth waiting to be molded in the right direction to peace, progress and prosperity, has been battling for its survival for quite some time. We need to develop leadership in Pakistan in the role model of Jinnah at all levels in the country. Our youth is one of the most important assets of the country. If Quaid-e-Azam was alive today our youth would have had a proper understanding of the issues. He would have properly guided the young generations and would have made all efforts to eradicate the issues circling our problems.
Those nations that forget or ignore the teachings and guidelines of their founding fathers are often doomed to disaster and end up as failed states. There is urgent need for our youth to read and understand the principles, ideals, values and vision of our founding father, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and ensure that we achieve and have for all times to come “Jinnah’s Pakistan”.
I sometimes wonder what the youth would have shaped up if the Quaid-e-Azam would still be alive with us. Although we all claim that we should follow the visions of our leaders who helped us achieve a separate nation of our own.
It is utmost important for the youth to follow the footsteps of Quaid-e-Azam. His speeches and quotes should be made a role model for the youngsters of the countries as to make the nation progress. After all, the advice and the teachings of our leaders is the true reflection of what we are as a nation.
A nation’s youth is acknowledged to be its most prized asset. If properly cultivated it could cover-up for all other resources. Compared to the vast raw natural and human resource Allah has blessed Pakistan with, it is in a pitiful state. The future of Pakistanis in our youth’s hands. It is high time youth of Pakistan should start playing their roles in order to progress and make a positive Pakistan. As a great scholar rightly said:
“You are young only once, and if you work it right, once is enough”.
