Even though most of us have become quite used to a variety of spam emails being sent to us, those operating behind these frauds never end to shock. In a latest spam e-mail obtained from apparently “Nokia Company Head Office” we were advised that our current e-mail address had won “a Prize in the Nokia Company Award Anniversary as arranged by Nokia Company United Kingdom” and that the prize money was “Five Hundred Thousand Great British Pounds (£500,000.00) and Laptop each as a aspect of our for-profit philanthropic side marketing.”
The e-mail also described that only 50 e-mails were chosen out of “an unique list of over 25,000 e-mail addresses of individual and corporate bodies” “through a computer ballot system” and that they needed certain qualifications to be able for us to be qualified for accumulating the award.
We emphasize our visitors once again as to why this is a spam and a spam mail:
The email required us to send information to uknokiadraw2013@live.co.uk. If it was genuinely sent from Nokia Company, then the address should be ending in “@nokia.com” or “@nokia.co.uk”
No company EVER gives away such a huge prize money.
No big company asks for such detailed information about any person.
