Minister of State for Information Technology Anusha Rehman re-informed of the agenda of the government led by Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PMLN) to help re-build economy of the country by increasing revenue generation and by creating more job opportunities.
Her statement was given in a meeting with the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of the Telecom operators in Islamabad which she was chairing. In the meeting were also discussed the challenges that IT companies in Pakistan were facing and how to turn them into favorable situation for the sector. The meeting discussed methods and ways how to increase opportunities for the IT companies in Pakistan so that they would be better able to contribute towards betterment of the economy.
The decision of forming two committees was made in the meeting which would be responsible for eradicating the challenges faced by IT companies and monitor the auction of next generation of technology.
The meeting was assured by Anusha Rehman of the full support of government to the telecom operators in attracting more investment and creating more job opportunities.
