Before the official launch of KitKat 4.4 and LG nexus 5 appeared in the leak pictures which had gone viral. The picture show menu the setting menu of KitKat 4.4, which show some new features offered by the OS 4.4. One of the feature introduced is the “tap and pay”, along with new location settings menu which offers high accuracy, battery saving, and device sensors modes. The high accuracy mode is said to use a combination of GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks, while the other two rely on GPS or mobile networks alone.

The shortcut for the camera is available at the right corner of the lock-screen, similar to iOS 7. It also enables the user to access the camera via swipe gesture.
New features for the Homescreen are also visible in the leaked pictures, the features include Google Photos which will replace Photo gallery.
