Shahid Afridi as T20 captain, Abdul Razzaq as ODI captain suggested

ISLAMABAD: Irked over repeated mistakes of the Green Shirts, former chief selector Abdul Qadir suggests appointing Abdul Razzaq as ODI captain and Shahid Afridi as Twenty20 captain.

Legendary leg spinner, known to be mentor of Mushtaq Ahmed and other leading spinners of the country, said that he couldn’t understand why Umer Amin was given a chance.

“Shahid Afridi should be respected than to criticize as he is an asset of the country as well as a match winner player,” he said and added that Pakistan had to rectify its mistakes in 2nd T20 match.

“After Younis Khan, Suhaib Maqsood is the best choice for number three spot.”

Abdul Qadir has also termed Abdul Razzaq a match winning player suggesting that he should be appointed as One-Day captain.

Pakistan team had drawn a T20 series against Sri Lanka in United Arab Emirate igniting a wave of criticism over Muhammad Hafeez’s captaincy in pushing the Green Shirts towards victory.
