Igniting a passion that brings together a Nation

Capture

3-3-09 terrorist attack on Sri-lankan team. The day when cricket got resented to Pakistan and it’s people. The champions were not been able to play at their own grounds in front of their own crowd. A disastrous day in the history of Pakistan that blocked every road to junoon of cricket. People of Pakistan become lonesome and were not able to watch their passion, their cricket.

A special morning, a special day. Black clouds are gone. 22-5-15 today when revival of cricket in Pakistan is going to happen. Zimbabwean team agreed to step forward and revive cricket in Pakistan entertain it’s people. Pakistani nation welcomes them wholeheartedly. After six years of wait cricket is returning to Pakistan. The cricket-starved nation is ready to welcome cricket at Gaddafi stadium. Opening and cultural ceremony has also been organised in which well known celebrities will perform and charge the crowd. It will be the first international T20 at Gaddafi stadium. 60200 spectators can sit in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. It is the 5th Biggest Stadium in the World.

All tickets have been sold out. Pakistan’s captain Shahid Khan Afridi and Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura have made the trophy ceremony. Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Sami are making their comeback after years. Young players who will play their first international match in Pakistan are too excited and we expect good results coming out of it. The match will be at 7:00 pm. Indeed a memorable day for Pakistan.

Touring Pakistan is such a decent gesture by Zimbabwe who themselves have been isolated from cricket in past and promised to break the shackles in Pakistan. We hope and pray that this Zimbabwe tour is the 1st drop of rain and other big teams will also come to Pakistan and they will also enhance the brightness of cricket in Pakistan.
