The History matters!

The subcontinent, known as golden sparrow, yes we are talking about the country before the partition. The British, they manipulated government of the subcontinent very easily. They entered for trade purpose but slowly and gradually took control of the political issues. They managed to make the two religions, against each other. They were successful way before the partition, they came in, created differences, took advantage of it and then when it was hard for them to stay, they left. Point here isn’t that the British people spoiled the sub-continent, it is, the third party comes in and make the other two fight with each other, that’s the time we should know that this is going to be disastrous.

The Mughals ruled over the sub-continent for centuries, but the only thing that ended their reign was, their mistake of letting others control it, while they were very busy in enjoying the luxurious. It all starts when we start taking things for granted. Mughals thought that it was their property and did absolutely nothing to protect it, so it was taken from them. They didn’t respect what their ancestors did to take over a big part of the continent, and so they suffered from its consequences. This is exactly what is happening now days. Pakistan is in great danger, and we deny from accepting this reality. We talk about how corrupt the leaders of the country are but we are the ones who pay more just to get our things done fast. Yes we are okay with the fact that people use ‘Kundas’ to illuminate their buildings on 14th August. Funny, isn’t it? We celebrate a day and then forget about it. Today, the children are busy fighting with each other on who has got the biggest Pakistan’s flag, because we didn’t teach them that the size doesn’t matter, it is the intentions that do. We can’t just pray that it all gets better; we have to do our part. It took us years to become what we are, the corrupt and complaining nation. The damage that we did couldn’t heal in a year; it would be a journey full of sacrifices, a journey that will begin, if we wish to become a better nation.

It is saddening to see the teenagers of the country fighting each other over the political issues; it is even more disheartening when I see them putting flags of the political parties on their vehicles. This isn’t what we are supposed to do. We need a nation that stands together, forgetting all the differences, a nation that we become when we are supporting Pakistan in a cricket match against India.
