Microsoft launch Office 2016 later this year

Later this week Microsoft revealed lot of new things, but it’s not completed yet. Today Microsoft declared that the next edition of its fully-featured Office package of desktop PC programs will be called Microsoft Office 2016.

Microsoft has been examining the new version of Office internally with a few its key associates. Pictures that released last season suggest the new launch won’t rock the boat too much in terms of design, although customers can expect to see a range of new functions and developments.

The company said today that it “will have more to share on Office 2016 in the arriving months”, verifying its earlier promise of launching the new apps “in the second half of 2015” – perhaps coinciding with the launch of Microsoft Windows 10, which is expected around the same time.

Although Microsoft did not openly show its new Office 2016 desktop programs this week, it did reveal its new package of touch-friendly Office apps for Windows. As with the touch-optimized Office programs on Android operating system and iOS, they lack the complete feature set of the desktop programs, but they still offer many of the functions that users need most often for creating, modifying and discussing records.

As Universal Windows apps, they’ll be available not just on Windows 10 PCs, laptops, and tablets, but also on smartphones. Microsoft distributed a few images of the Office touch apps for Windows 10 nowadays, displaying how they’ll look on devices and gadgets with larger shows.

Microsoft says the new Office touch apps will eventually be “pre-installed for free on phones and small tablets running windows 10, and available to obtain from the Windows Store for other gadgets.” It contributes that the new programs will be “available with the Windows 10 Technical Preview in the arriving weeks and general accessibility is on track for later this season.”
